Green with envy - beautiful ladies....
I have been putting together styling notes of different cars to shoot and different locations to match them with, as part of my regular contribution to Femme Fatale magazine’s hot rod section. Then I work out which female model to shoot in studio and what outfit she’ll be wearing – to all tie in together. I’m loving this new side-project!
My first collage of images has me shooting a lime green Dodge Desoto at a block of 1950s flats in Williamstown. Having the car parked at the flats made the place look 60 years younger – it looked as though it belonged there. The car is owned by Scott, an airbrush artist who airbrushed the beautiful pin ups on his car. I originally saw this car over a year ago, along with Taboo, at the Kustom Nationals, Philip Island – and I finally had the pleasure of photographing it:
