Preparations of a pin up photo shoot: wardrobe, props & music.
Part of the fun for me in providing pin up shoots, is the preparations of the wardrobe and props. Today’s pin up model has chosen the mechanics theme and the beach theme. I like to get all the associated wardrobe items and props ready before the model comes in – as I like to concentrate on other things once they are here, such as hairstyling and makeup application!
I also like to choose music to suit the shoot. I usually play a mix of 1940s music, however for today, I will play The Flattrackers' “High Octane” during the mechanics theme and Martin Denny’s “Exotica” for the beach theme.
So there you have it, a few inner workings of my photographic studio!
