Your product has been carefully hand crafted using full top grain leather. Leather is natural and therefore will be unique in itself. Some products may show marks such as scars, which is normal. Your product is one-of-a-kind.
Caring for your leather
Taking care of your product is easy & no additional care or conditioning is required. This leather has good stain and water-resistant characteristics and will retain it’s finished colour, regardless of environment.
To clean your leather
To clean grubby marks, use a soft cloth with warm water. For stubborn marks, add natural soap flakes. Do not submerge in water or wash your product.
- Add 1 teaspoon of natural soap flakes to a small bowl
- Add 1/4 cup hot water, to dissolve
- Add 1/4 cup cold water, to cool down
- Dip the corner of a folded soft cloth in, squeeze excess
- Rub lightly over the mark
Cleaning pen marks.
Using the above method, most water-based markers and fountain pen inks should come off. Ball-point pens and alcohol markers are less likely to completely come off, however they should fade with cleaning. Remember to rub lightly, regardless of frustration! You may need to embrace this new mark as a part of your cover’s history.
